The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) has submitted 11 previously undocumented recordings of Polish VIPs to Attorney General Andrzej Seremet.

The clandestinely recorded material supplements tapes recorded in Warsaw restaurants of Polish politicians and public figures, as originally published by the Wprost weekly in the summer of 2014.

Four people, including restaurant staff and businessmen, have already been charged over the affair, which shook the government and garnered widespread international coverage.

Both the CBA and the attorney general's office have declined to comment on who was recorded in the newly submitted batch of recordings.

Nor has it been disclosed how the CBA obtained the latest material.

Earlier this week, Andrzej Seremet said the main investigation into the tape affair would end in June this year.

The first wave of recordings included remarks made by former foreign minister Radosław Sikorski to the effect that the Polish-US alliance was worthless. In another recording former interior minister Bartłomiej Sieńkiewicz discussed making a deal with central bank governor Marek Belka. (nh)
