Data comparing the situation in the judicial system of EU countries shows that Polish courts do not deviate from the EU average, and the efficiency of procedures is close to the top of the ranking, the daily reports.

The paper says that according to the "EU Justice Scoreboard" published by the European Commission Polish courts are among the busiest in Europe, being overtaken only by Slovenia, Germany and Austria.

Polish courts are not only among the busiest, but also in the top among the quickest. They placed third in terms of efficiency, behind Germany and Estonia.

“Efficiency of a justice system on its own is not enough. Quality and independence are key components of an effective justice system.
