These suspicions were reported by the website of broadcaster TVN24, citing two sources related to the Defense Ministry.

The airman was arrested on 20 November, 2014 by the military police.

He was suspended from his duties, his passport was confiscated, and banned from leaving the country.

No accusations of spying have yet been made, writes Tvn24.pl

However, counterintelligence authorities believe that items were smuggled to foreign agencies.

Officially, the lieutenant has been accused of willful taking three rounds of ammunition and with “professional negligence in the handling of sensitive documents.”

TVN24 says that soon after the arrest of the Polish lieutenant, a Russian diplomat was expelled suspected of spying. (rg)
