Factory worker freezes to death in liquid nitrogen accident

A worker died instantly after falling into a vat of liquid nitrogen at a factory in Koszalin, northern Poland.

The 65-year-old employee was an experienced worker at the Tepro factory, which produces mechanical and vacuum devices.
There was no surveillance camera in the area where the accident occurred, and at present the precise causes of the fall are unclear.
However, it is thought that the man was trying to remove something from the vat when he lost his balance.
Police and the local labour inspectorate are investigating the circumstances of the man's death. (nh)
