PSL supports Komorowski in second round

The Polish People's Party (PSL) has decided to support incumbent President Bronisław Komorowski in the second round of the elections on 24 May.

The party's decision was presented in a press conference by party leader and minor coalition member Janusz Piechociński.
He explained that Komorowski represents “the same [European People's Party] in the European Parliament.”
Piechociński called voters to support President Komorowski “who stabilises the country during its current uncertainty.”
He added that Komorowski is a man who brings “a lot of gentleness and peace to the debate”.
In the first round of the elections on Sunday, the PSL candidate Adam Jarubas garnered only 1.6 percent of the vote.
The second election round will be between Komorowski and Law and Justice (PiS) candidate Andrzej Duda. (rg)
