The new information published by the Do Rzeczy weekly reveals “corruption in the highest echelons of government”.

According to the weekly, the conversation between Kwaśniewski and Kalisz took place in October 2013 at the Sowa and Przyjaciele restaurant which has already been implicated in the scandal.

Kalisz allegedly told Kwaśniewski about his meeting with General Nosek, then head of the Military Counterintelligence Service.

The General allegedly had some evidence to charge the present Defence Minister Tomasz Siemoniak, and perhaps someone "much higher".

Minister Siemoniak has slammed the allegations as “absurd”

“These are complete fabrications, absurd like an Mrożek tale,” the defence minster and deputy prime minister said.

Sławomir Mrożek was a Polish dramatist and author who was known for his absurdist fiction. (rg)
