Warsaw's Łazienkowski bridge almost rebuilt after fire damage

Two steel structures connecting the halves of the Łazienkowski bridge in the Polish capital were connected on Friday, indicating work on the structure is almost complete.

Both parts of the bridge are to be welded together at the end of September.
Monday will see workers laying on insulation, which will then receive layers of asphalt.
The bridge will open to traffic in late October, experts have said.
The Łazienkowski bridge burnt down on 14 February after part of its wooden structure caught on fire. (rg/rk)
