The study by Millward Brown found that almost all parents that took part in the survey say they motivate their children to learn English by praising them, encouraging them to watch English language videos, or proposing games in the language.

According to the study, more than four out of five parents of primary-school-age children believe their child’s English class to be the most important class for the child’s future.

Parents realise that by motivating children to learn English they are increasing the child’s chances of a better job, better life, and meeting new, interesting people.

The study also shows that almost 90 percent of parents surveyed say their children learn English outside school. (ua/rg/rk)
