According to the CBOS Institute, 40 percent of Poles are critical of his performance. In comparison to a similar poll conducted a month ago, the ratings of the head of state have fallen sharply, with the disapproval rate up by 20 percentage points.

The number of respondents who have no opinion of Duda’s performance has fallen from 38 to 17 percent in a single month. Duda was sworn in as Poland’s head of state on 6 August.

The Polish parliament, which was elected only seven weeks ago, was criticized by 58 percent of the survey respondents, while only one in four Poles had a positive view of its work.

The poll was conducted between 3 and 10 of December on a representative group of 989 adult Poles, using computer-assisted personal interviewing. (mk/pk)
