The study by Poland’s Public Opinion Research Center (CBOS) found that 32 percent of Poles rate their country’s general situation as “positive”, up from 27 percent in December 2015.

Respondents who identify with right-wing politics and participate in religious practices were the most optimistic.

On the other hand, 46 percent of respondents believe the country’s situation is “negative”, four percentage points lower than in December’s survey.

The CBOS survey was conducted between 7-14 January on 1,063 adult residents in Poland. (ua/pk)
