The man has been charged with participating in an organised criminal gang and with handling stolen goods. He was arrested on Saturday but denies all charges.
In July 2015, a man working as a cash courier took off with some PLN 8 million (EUR 1.82 mln, USD 2.04 million) while preforming his duties in Swarzędz, west-central Poland.
Police discovered that the courier, who had been hired by a security company a few months prior to the theft, had been employed under a false name.
The arrested man is 46 years old and a tailor by trade. (rg/pk)
