Polish police detain suspected drug traffickers

Five people have been detained and some seven kilogrammes of marijuana seized in a police operation in the southern Polish city of Opole.

The five are suspected of possessing, trafficking and selling a large amount of drugs.
Officers seized more than seven kilogrammes of marijuana. Three of the suspects were detained following a court order.
The first detention in the investigation took place in the town of Nysa in southern Poland in October.
A 29-year-old man was stopped while driving with 1.5 kg of marijuana in his car, with another kilogramme found in the man's home. (rg/pk)
