We are not ruling out that the boys could be siblings,” commented Chief Commissioner of the Katowice police Jacek Pytel.

The first child, who is believed to be less than a year old, was found in the vestibule of Sosnowiec's Church of the Blessed Virgin on Tuesday, at about 6:00 pm.

A letter was found on the boy, with the author declaring inability to look after the child, and pleading for help.

The second child, who is about two years old, was found in the nearby city of Katowice on Wednesday.

Both toddlers are described as being in good health. (nh)
