The two-hour informal meeting at a Kraków restaurant on Saturday was “a long, good conversation about international politics”, said top presidential aide Krzysztof Szczerski.

The US delegation was made up of five senators: Republicans Dan Coats and Richard Burr, independent Angus S. King jr, as well as Democrats Mark Warner and Barbara Mikulski. The latter is of Polish origin.

Media reports ahead of the meeting, which was called by the US senators, said that the politicians were likely to discuss the constitutional crisis which has engulfed Poland.
