Eight injured in fireworks explosions at Polish market

Eight people were hospitalised on Tuesday following a series of explosions at a stall selling fireworks at a market in Osinów Dolny, near the Polish border with Germany.

Five Poles and three Germans were injured in the incident, and two are understood to be in a serious condition.
Witnesses say that at least three explosions occurred, and a fire then tore through the market.
Local prosecutors are currently investigating the matter, in cooperation with the police. (nh)
