Employees in hospital after ammonia leak in Poland

Twenty-three people were taken to hospital for treatment after an ammonia leak at the premises of a poultry firm in northern Poland on Friday.

Those affected complained of difficulties in breathing. Their life was not in danger.
Five hundred employees were evacuated after the leak at the premises of the Indykpol company in the northern town of Olsztyn.
Teams with specialist equipment for tackling chemical hazards found the source of the leak and were working on sealing it. (pk)
