Learning through fun at Science Picnic

Visitors to a Science Picnic in Warsaw on Saturday will be able to transform their mobile phone into a microscope and see a life-saving surgical robot at work.

These and hundreds of other attractions are on offer at the capital’s National Stadium from 11am to 8pm.

The 20th Science Picnic, which being organized by Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre, is focusing on health as its main theme.

Visitors will be able to try out an interface linking the human brain to artificial limbs and robot parts, and to steer an artificial heart.

Meanwhile, aspiring journalists will be able to try their hand at reporting at the Polish Radio stalls.

Competitions, quizzes and games will keep visitors of all ages entertained. (pk)
