The drugs had a street value of around PLN 2 million (EUR 451,660), police said.

Officers from a police anti-narcotics department in Warsaw detained a 45-year-old man suspected of producing drugs on Thursday in the capital.

The next day, following intensive questioning, police discovered the location of the drug laboratory, in a suburb of Ostrołęka, a town in northeastern Poland.

During operations on site, officers secured two glass flasks, coolers, glassware, chemical reagents, and five litres of liquid amphetamine, which could produce some 42,000 portions of the drug, police said. (rg/pk)
