TVP head to stay on until October: media council

Poland's National Media Council has announced that the head of Poland’s public broadcaster TVP will stay on until a recruitment process to find a replacement is completed in October.

The announcement was made on Tuesday hours after TVP chairman Jacek Kurski's dismissal was announced by the Council.
Jacek Kurski, a former MEP, was appointed as the head of TVP in January after the victory of the Law and Justice party in parliamentary elections towards the end of last year. (rg/pk)
