The ministers will discuss changes to the Polish penal code to introduce a new type of crime.

The Council will meet on Tuesday following a three-week recess.

According to the original version of the draft prepared by the Ministry of Justice, the use of the term “Polish death camp” – referring to facilities run by Nazi German authorities in occupied Poland during World War II – could result in a prison term of up to five years. (rg)
