Heavy storm causes damage in Warsaw

Firefighters responded to over 200 calls in relation to damage caused by heavy rain and hail which hit Warsaw between Sunday and Monday.

Wind felled dozens of trees and rainwater flooded building and streets around the Polish capital.
Among the areas affected were the Central train station in Warsaw and dozens of basements in the city centre.
According to meteorologists, the weather should clear up around the country in the afternoon. (rg)
