Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz told journalists on Wednesday that Misiewicz is a “very brave, honest man”, and that recent media speculation into his activities is untrue.

Misiewicz is no longer listed as a board member on the website of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ).

PGZ’s statute was especially changed to allow Misiewicz to join its board, despite the fact that he does not have a university degree.

Asked by the private TVN broadcaster last week about Misiewicz being appointed to the board of PGZ, despite not having the necessary qualifications, Prime Minister Beata Szydło said that she had spoken to Minister Macierewicz to personally address the situation in his ministry.
