The two men were detained by the Police Central Bureau of Investigation, the same unit they pretended to belong to.

The District Prosecutor's Office in Suwałki, northeastern Poland, has charged the men with being part of an organized criminal group.

Central Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Agnieszka Hamelusz said the detained men were planning an attack on a businessman.

She added that in the home of one of the leaders of the gang, officers found police uniforms and badges.

"We also secured three dummy Glock-type pistols along with holsters, and a machete and balaclavas," Hamelusz added. (pk)
