Trump win a ‘victory for democracy’: Polish PM

Donald Trump's triumph in the US presidential election is a victory for democracy, Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydło has said.

She added that Poland hopes to have a better relationship with the United States based on the commitments made during the NATO summit in Warsaw in July.
“We expect Polish-US relations to be good, if not better than they are now, for cooperation to deepen, which is based on commitments made during the NATO summit in Warsaw,” Szydło said.
“It's a whole new beginning. Certainly policies in the United States will change, but politics around the world are changing before of our very eyes. This election win is part of a larger phenomenon that we have been observing in the political world for some time. Some call it a positive change,” she said.
