Opposition Civic Platform to present shadow Cabinet

Poland's largest opposition party, the Civic Platform (PO), will present a new shadow Cabinet during a sitting of its National Council in Warsaw on Thursday.

The shadow Cabinet is to cover 21 "ministries" and will be headed by Civic Platform leader Grzegorz Schetyna, supported by two deputies.
It aims to review the work of the Law and Justice government and prepare Civic Platform initiatives.
The PO also wants to propose several new ministries, such as a ministry for digitization, innovation and young people, a ministry for local government and a ministry for senior citizen policy.
In total, the shadow Cabinet will have almost 50 people, 30 percent of them women. (mol/pk)
