"We discussed, among other things, a new system of command and control for the Polish army," said Duda after meeting the head of the General Staff, General Mieczysław Gocuł.
"There is a need for change, a need to introduce a new system: the one in existence now has a number of shortcomings," Duda said.
Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz and National Security Bureau chief Paweł Soloch also took part in the meetings.
According to the president, the changes should be introduced early next year. (mol/pk)
