The winds snapped trees and damaged roofs and cars, authorities said on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded to over 400 calls over the night, adding that the regions of west Pomerania, Pomerania and Wielkopolskie, in northern and central Poland, were the worst affected.

A spokesman for the Polish firefighters said that no one was injured. (rg)
