Innovative companies and startups from the Visegrad Group -- Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia -- will take part in the event together with NGOs, politicians and economists .
Leaders of Visegrad Group countries will be special guests at the gathering and will on Tuesday sign a “Warsaw declaration” on innovation in the region.
Among speakers at the meeting will be Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Finance and Development Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, and Deputy Prime Minister and Science and Higher Education Minister Jarosław Gowin.
A report on the state of innovation in the region will be presented during the gathering.
The event’s organizers say Central Europe has considerable potential in this area but it is not fully utilized at present.
The congress “will be an opportunity to present the practical side of innovation and a place to discuss cooperation in this part of Europe," the organizers add.
