Officers used tear gas and handcuffs to subdue the aggressive men, who were placed in solitary confinement, border guards said.

The incident took place on Thursday. The three people scheduled to be expelled from Poland were taken to Warsaw’s Chopin Airport and deported.

"Several people staying at the centre hindered officers from performing their duties, trying to prevent them from taking foreigners out of the centre,” border guards said.

“Three men, Russian citizens of Chechen origin, were particularly aggressive, not only threatening officers but also assaulting them.”
