Hubert Jóźwik, head of the Inspectorate of Road Transport trade union, said inspectors would carry out their duties with exceptional scrupulousness and apologized for the delays that drivers are expected to face.
Only Polish hauliers will be checked during the protest. Jóźwik added that inspectors usually carried out the most checks on carriers from across Poland’s eastern border.
He added that inspectors’ salaries have not risen for nine years.
