Publishers from 32 countries flock to Warsaw Book Fair

Almost 800 publishers from 32 countries are taking part in the Warsaw Book Fair, which opens on Thursday at the city’s National Stadium.

Germany is the honorary guest at the event, with 66 publishers and 11 prominent writers, including the Nobel Prize-winning author Herta Müller.

Among countries represented at the Warsaw Book Fair are Russia, China, Argentina, Australia, Belarus, India, Japan, Costa Rica and Peru.

The four-day event includes a wide range of meetings with writers, translators and publishers, as well as special attractions for children.
