Polish Radio quoted "unofficial" sources as saying that a "preparatory group from Washington" has come to Warsaw. The group includes White House officials, according to the report.

On Thursday, the Reuters news agency said that Trump will likely make a short stop in Poland on his way to a summit of G20 leaders in Germany in July.

Reuters reported that three separate anonymous sources close to Poland’s ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party have confirmed a July meeting between Trump and top Polish officials, with two sources specifying 6 July as the day the US president visits Poland.

Two sources said Trump would likely be visiting the Polish capital Warsaw, Reuters said, although no official details have been announced.

Journalists have speculated that Trump could attend the Wrocław Global Forum, a summit of some 400 international political and business leaders, which will be held in south-western Poland on 6-7 July.

Officials representing the Polish government and President Andrzej Duda have been lobbying to get Trump to visit Poland since the US presidential election in November. (str/pk)
