Bomb scare holds up Warsaw-Berlin train

A train travelling from Warsaw to Berlin was halted for seven hours between Wednesday and Thursday following a bomb scare.

“The whole train was checked by experts from the police bomb disposal and anti-terrorist departments, accompanied by dogs trained to detect explosives, and nothing was found which could endanger the safety of the passengers and the train,” a police spokeswoman told the PAP news agency.

She added that the train set off again towards its destination in Berlin at around 1.30 am. (rg/pk)
