The bomb weighs 250 kilograms and is over a metre long, Poland’s IAR news agency reported.
One of the Wrocław’s main thoroughfares -- Legnicka street -- was to be shut down as the bomb was set to be taken away to a military firing range.
Police said at least 500 people had been evacuated from homes and offices near the site where the device was discovered.
