Fifty-two percent of respondents said they were happy with Beata Szydło as prime minister, while 53 percent backed the government’s economic policies.

The study by pollster CBOS found that support for Szydło’s government had climbed 2 percentage points from August.

A total of 30 percent of respondents were critical of the government earlier this month, down 4 percentage points from August, the poll found.

Meanwhile, 24 percent said they neither backed nor opposed the government.

According to CBOS, the government has the strongest support among people with only basic education, those on low incomes, among residents of rural areas and those aged 55 and over.
