President, defence minister head to war games

They are set to see a display, meet officers in charge of the drills and the soldiers taking part.

NATO troops, in Poland under a plan to bolster the alliance's eastern flank and troops from Poland's newly-formed Territorial Defence Force are among the 17,000 soldiers takin part in the drills.

The Dragon-17 military exercises, the largest Poland has scheduled this year, started on 21 September and continue until the end of the week. (vb/pk)
