Pollster Kantar Public said 47 percent of those polled approved of the performance of the Polish government as a whole.

Szydło’s job approval rating and that of her government were the best since Poland’s ruling conservatives took power in November 2015, according to the pollster.

Thirty-two percent of those surveyed disapproved of the way Duda was handling his job as president.

Meanwhile, 38 percent were disapproving of Szydło’s performance as prime minister; an identical proportion of respondents were negative about her government as a whole, the poll found.

Kantar Public carried out the survey on October 6-11 on a nationwide representative sample of 1,056 respondents. (gs/pk)
