A new ad using rabbits to combat Poland’s low birth-rate has been hailed a success despite being “somewhat controversial” or “not to someone’s taste” by Poland's health minister.

The health ministry's 30-second ad shows rabbits in a field promoting a lifestyle of physical activity, healthy diet, low stress and no drugs as being key to procreation.

“Campaign specialists decided that this somewhat controversial but conversation-starting ad would be good for drawing attention to the problem of insufficient births we have in Poland and all of Europe,” Health Minister Konstanty Radziwiłł said.

The ad is to be aired until the end of the year on television nation-wide during prime time. (vb)
