Tests showed that the tablets, which the pair sold online, contained simple magnesium, a mineral found in dietary supplements that helps keep blood pressure normal.

The detained 22-year-old woman and 31-year-old man allegedly gave advice to customers while posing as staff from a gynaecologist’s office.

The pair used mobile phones registered under names that were not their own.

The suspects, from Namysłów, south-west Poland, face up to eight years in jail if convicted.
