Snow hits power supplies to 300,000 customers in Poland

Around 290,000 customers around Poland were left without electricity on Friday after heavy snowfall, officials said.

Marek Kubiak, head of the Government Security Centre, said repairs were under way.
Drivers faced delays on local roads amid dangerous conditions.
Weather forecasters said that Friday would see further snowfall and rain in a number of regions.
Temperatures on Friday would range from 5 degrees Celsius in northern coastal areas to minus 1 degree Celsius in some areas close to mountains, forecasters predicted.
