Polish employees who smoke may have to work longer to make up for the time they spend on cigarette breaks, the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily has reported.

The new rules have been proposed by a government-appointed commission which has recommended changes to Poland’s labour code, the daily said.
Other proposed changes would allow firms to have staff work six Sundays a year, but the employees would have to agree, according to Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
Recommended changes to the labour code are to be unveiled by the government-appointed commission in mid-March.
