The substance was hidden in parcels that arrived in Poland from Asia.
Two brothers are suspected to be behind the smuggling operation, Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported. Both have been detained and could face up to five years in jail.
Over 50 kg of top-quality amphetamine could be obtained from the substance that was seized, IAR reported.
Experts say that even before being turned into drugs, the substance would have given the would-be smugglers a tenfold profit.
