In a crackdown in the Netherlands on Friday, Polish officers seized three-and-a-half tonnes of hashish and two-and-a-half tonnes of drug precursor chemicals with a total street value of PLN 200 million (EUR 48 million, USD 59.4 million), Gen. Jarosław Szymczyk said.

The drugs originated from northern Africa and the Middle East, Szymczyk told reporters at a joint news conference with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Interior Minister Joachim Brudziński in Warsaw.

Szymczyk added that the operation was targeted at international drug rings and involved officers from various countries.
