One in five top managers in Poland believes that corruption is widespread in business, around half the average figure for 55 countries and regions surveyed in a new report by consulting firm EY.

In 2016, 34 percent of Polish respondents said that corruption was widespread.

In Brazil, Colombia and Nigeria, over 90 percent of senior managers said corruption was rife.

At the other end of the scale were Switzerland, where only 2 percent said corruption was prevalent, and Germany, where no respondents believed corrupt practices were widespread.

The EY global fraud survey was conducted from October 2017 to February this year, asking 2,550 managers from 55 countries for their opinions.
