Ardanowski will replace Krzysztof Jurgiel, who tendered his resignation on Monday.

Jurgiel, who became Poland’s agriculture minister in November 2015 after PiS came to power in a landslide election win, resigned "for personal reasons," public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

Ardanowski said he would be appointed to his new post by President Andrzej Duda on Wednesday morning.
