At the same time, 20 percent of respondents said they did not trust Duda, who hails from the governing conservative Law and Justice (PiS) party.

Poland’s second most-trusted politician is Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, with 57 percent of those surveyed saying they have confidence in him, the CBOS poll found.

Meanwhile, the head of Poland’s ruling conservatives, Jarosław Kaczyński, and opposition leader Grzegorz Schetyna are the most distrusted politicians in the country, according to the survey.

Kaczyński is trusted by 39 percent, and distrusted by 44 percent, the poll found.

Forty-three percent of respondents said they distrusted Schetyna, whose Civic Platform (PO) party lost parliamentary elections in late 2015, while 23 percent said they trusted him.

The survey was carried out from June 28 to July 5, asking 952 adults for their views.
