The changes are being planned by the Government Centre for Security (RCB), which was set up ten years ago, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency has reported.
Experts say that the nature of security threats has changed globally over the last decade.
Grzegorz Świszcz, deputy head of the Government Centre for Security, said: "When the centre was created there were completely different threats. We’re now living in times that are a little different—we have hybrid threats, disinformation threats, among other things.”
Among the centre's tasks are monitoring security risks and crisis response procedures.
