Investigation into attack on Polish Television host

An investigation is under way into an attack on public television host Magdalena Ogórek after a group of people blockaded her car, shouting invectives and attempting to stick pieces of paper on the vehicle as she was leaving the station on Saturday evening.
Interior Minister Joachim Brudziński informed that he has requested information from the Warsaw chief of police, why officers failed to react properly.
In the wake of the incident, head of the National Media Council Krzysztof Czabański asked PM Mateusz Morawiecki to assure security for public media staff.
The physical attack has been strongly condemned by politicians from both ruling Law and Justice and all opposition parties.
Former actress and one-time presidential candidate Magdalena Ogórek is a host for public television's news channel TVP Info.
