High winds and storms lashed the country’s southeastern regions as well as Pomorskie province in the north, Paweł Frątczak, a spokesman for the State Fire Service, said on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters were called to help pump water out of flooded basements and remove fallen trees from roads and railroad tracks, Frątczak told state news agency PAP.

Around 1,800 customers in four provinces were without electricity on Tuesday morning after storms disrupted power supplies, the PAP news agency reported, citing the Government Centre for Security (RCB).
