Four months after the general election in Poland the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) is on 26 percent support, up four percent from last month, and just two percentage points behind Civic Platform on 28 percent.

Support levels for the other three parties currently in parliament is much the same as it was in the 9 October election, with the liberal Palikot Movement on 10 percent and the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD on 9 percent.

The current junior coalition partner in the Civic Platform-led government, the Polish Peasants Party (PSL) are on five percent.

The TNS OBOP survey was carried out between 2 to 6 February on a representative sample of 975.

The opinion poll comes after the government has come under criticism for signing the ACTA anti-piracy agreement and plans to reform Poland's pension system. (pg)
